Estimates use the Boxleiter method (review → sales multipliers). Accuracy ±40%. For precise numbers, publishers use our Pro data exports.

Are the numbers official?

No. Valve does not publish sales figures. SteamScope estimates are statistical models built from public signals, with uncertainty bands shown on every game page.

How often is data updated?

Player charts every 15 minutes; prices and reviews daily; full store metadata weekly; estimates daily.

Is there an API?

Yes — a public JSON API is available now; full-rate API access ships with the Pro plan.
